Dear friends, thank you all for looking into the teasers to this round of WristScan and I must say, some nearly got the theme right! In this theme I am asking you beautiful people to show me your body watch and your soul watch. Body watch in the sense of ...
For our Body and Soul theme... I give you the humble Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso. I have been coveting the Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso ever since I was a teenager. Although the first watch I ever bought for myself after a year or two of working was a Patek Phil...
That is an interesting connection, we both have here. My Reverso was a rose gold Reverso, that I still don't own yet, for a reason I don't know π€. Thank you for playing and a good Subday to you, dear friend.
And I really enjoy my first watch too - my Patek Philippe. But I could never get the Reverso out of my mind. One day I had the opportunity to acquire one and so I finally did.
. . . one of the photos was of a 56GAC 25 064. I was so taken by that one image I had to have one. A year or so later, Ken handed me . . . . . . the GS I've been wearing since yesterday. I like the way it looks on my wrist, too. Art ...
first entry is actually both, body and soul. Great looking shot of harmony. Another Patek representing soul, I like that! Have a great weekend too, dear Stoikos and thank you for your kind words.
Well played dear Count ! This has been an intriguing start to WristScan this weekend. Two interesting choices, I love both of your watches. Back soon with my choices !
body... 5196R that i think looks good on my wrist soul... Breguet La Tradition that presents the internal workings of the watch have a great weekend everyone! ...
I was also thinking to pick my La Tradition, but as a body watch, as it is quite a technical looking watch, hence masculine. But you are right: a La Tradition is a superb soul watch. Your 5116R has got good wrist presence, no doubt. Nice entries, dear ter...
Lovely body and soul combo to start this week's WS π₯ My body watch - A Pam in the right size which to me is Luminor at 44mm or a Radiomir of 45-47mm. Soul Watch - Rolex GMTM, esp in something one could just pop by a store and pick one from a display. ...
Hello dear Count and friends, I love the concept of this theme and considering the different ways that we all choose to play with it. Bodyβ¦The βBeastβ that is the Zenith β¦ The Montre d'Aeronef Type 20, with a diameter of 57.5mm ! Titanium case and vintage...
What a display, case and shape and movement, too. Your Zenith "Beast" suits your langer than life lifestyle very well. Enjoy your weekend, dearest Captain π₯π₯.
Well, this was a contemp dream for me.. true Body watch, GADA type ( Go Anywhere, Do Anything).. Another Body type, a bit fancy - from casual to dressing up And this GMT 6542 ( from IV 1958 !) came along after a long hunt.. real Soul -type for me.. Finall...
Great body watches, dear HS, would to call them mine too. Outstanding specimen of a 6542, a dream soul watch for many of us here. Have a great weekend, dear HS.
And Yes, both the GMT 6542 & specifically the Breguet XX Rattrapante, are truly near to my heart, and real keepers for me, as you well have commented. Wishing you all the Best and HAGWE, to you & yours ! hs.
..you have seen my βSoulβ-examples, ie the 6542 & the Type XX, already quite a number of times ! - Anyway, it is always a pleasure for me to wear these, as these are vintages with enough functional aspects to make them very wearable ! Wishing you a gr...
I can feel how enjoyable they are to wear on the wrist. Thank you for you kind words and good wishes my dear friend. Same to you! Best cordial regards, Abel
.. always rewarding to know, my friend. - And also likewise to be curious, what our respective friends have under their sleeves but are willing to share.. Itβs one of the nice things here at WPS, that picture - and thoughts - exchange is one of the goals ...
wishing you luck for yours ! Can only say, itβs one of my mostly worn pieces; also a bit under the radar and really unobtrusive ! Sure, you would like it !! Cheers,
Apart from the convincing Sea Dweller ( such type of Rolex almost a βMustβ for a collection), I liked your PP a lot, with also this casual attire a great match ! HAGWE & Best, hs
. . . Black Connie. I first saw Black Connie on TimeZone when Phil C (whose log-in is Hockey) owned her. Here's his photo posted 17+ years ago. I sat staring at this image for minutes on end. Imagine my state of mind when seeing a WTB from Phil on TZ for ...
Very happy for you that this perfect watch has found its way to you. Same birth year and manufacturing year and that with such a rare Omega is not coincidence but fate. Or in other words: a soul watch.
These two have both body and soul but the second one is a bit fragile, especially the glass that often refuses to stay in place... Great theme by the way! ...
. . . has a replacement crystal . . . . . . that was cemented in place by the watchmaker that serviced it last. I'm not suggesting cementing as a fix because that would make future replacements more difficult, but it's an option for less valuable watches....
