This week’s WS is special. It is heartwarming to see everyone coming together in memory of dear Casey.


Having read Ken relating his last interaction with Casey, it is a stark reminder of certain social issues and how in some instances we can help in however small way we can. 

I have a friend who too unfortunately succumbed to Parkinson’s and totally withdrew from social interaction. Sadly, he shared that he does not want his friends to see the state he is in and to get himself prepared for gatherings, he has to take medications (that makes him quite sick) to manage the symptoms. In his case, he has a family to look after him but for those who live alone, it is physically and psychologically challenged to stay connected with the community and seek necessary help.

Mark Knopfler has been an enthusiastic car collector and regularly raced a Maserati 300S and 250F.. I had the fortune to have some time with Mark discussing his cars and his love for racing history. Happy days ! ...
