I was initially drawn to these old Submariners (this 5513 is from 1966) because of the yummy patina of the tritium markers. However, now it is on my wrist I am really enjoying the visual effect of the thick plexiglass.

Hi Art, Well I suppose there is a story, but in many ways the “charms of vintage Rolex”, as you say, are apparent in the picture I posted. Namely the wonderful plexiglass that bends and morphs the dial when viewed at different angles and the creamy butter...

and you get to see the date pointer jump over the tourbi. No matter what, if I owned this watch, I would always wear it in the middle of the month. But I was expecting to see something with a Maltese Cross....you teased a week or two ago and then left us ...
