Just received a new strap for the summer! Would have been easy to label this as a dress watch but this “funs it up” ...  

I think the new strap works well and changes the look. Have a great weekend 🥂

In addition, that strap selection is a bit exuberant, but really lifts the spirits of the dial with a “ Bang”, IMO ! Congrats to such a fine piece and continue to wear it in the very Best of your health ! Superbly chosen and great pics, as well, almost ne...

...the Sub is a great beater as it was meant to be...the very definition of a tool watch. ...  

I can think of a better example of a tool watch from the 80’s.

and only realized much later what I had gotten into: Then this one came along and now I have a contest which one to favor... Both are about the same age and the geiger counter records a similar radiation for both of them... So sometimes, the flip of a coi...  

That lollipop seconds hand has blown me away.. Please tell us more about how you came to own this classic 2998.

It's a very basic story on the 2998: I stumbled upon it on the auction platform in the old days when we hardly knew anything about these and the seller description was very vague. My main reason for me to buy it was the bracelet - of all things! How "illi... 

Those were the days ! I was going to mention the Heuer, it looks superb with a perfect bezel. I would love to hear how you came by this one.

It was on a German dealer website and I nailed it within the blink of an eye after it popped up. Just lucks to be at my computer at the right time. Been told that there were several others just a bit slower than I was... Cheers RIchard

Welcome to Wristscan with your superb Omega 300M, one of my favourite watches from Omega. It looks very good. How long have you had this one ?

. . . that just came back from my watchmaker's shop today. This '58 ref 2852 was my third Omega, acquired over ten years ago to complement Black Connie. It was serviced by my then-current watchmaker in 2010. Mr B (his first initial really is 'B', but it m...

. . . with undivided attention for at least a week, sometimes two. So far, White Connie appears to be performing quite well, a second or two ahead after eighteen hours on my wrist. If this level of performance pans out, it will be the first time it's perf... 

It looks jut the way I like them. Gently enjoyed by a caring owner. The balance staff is a common problem for us collectors, many incorrect ones used over the years.

. . . but he was able to correct it with 'massage'. If timing results aren't to my liking, we may revisit that part (#1324) in the near future.

Great, that meanwhile all has been in hands caring with excellence, it appears. HAGWE & Best, hs.
