Very common nowadays to see naked wrists in hospitals

Hello Art,

I hope your relative is doing better, feeling at least a little better after each of your visits I am sure.

Hospitals have to deal more and more with multi-resistant bacteria and therefore have intensified their hygienic efforts. Whether it concerns rings, watches, artificial finger nails, bracelets, ties, necklaces - everything is prohibited in our hospital. It is particularly important for the surgical disciplines, but the infectious problems also occur in the medical area. In consequence the ´working class´ in the hospital, i.e. nursing staff, doctors, physiotherapists, radiographers etc. can be detected by not wearing all these things, whereas the ´managing/administration class´ still can. You may test my assertion next time smile.

Wearing a watch during surgery would surely be a reason to get notified if nothing worse.

Kind regards and all the best for your relative
