Ok, I do not live there, but as I will not the have the time tomorrow I have to post my Friday wrist shot now. Finally, after sacrificing the Paris GTG to the office's demands, I will be leaving for an extended motorcycle trip in the Alps tomorrow morning...
Fiji is spelt Fidji and Jakarta is spelt Djakarta. Is that French spelling? Everyplace else is in English. Bagdad instead of Baghdad. Or are both spellings correct? Hawaii instead of Honolulu? At 11 o'clock, Island. What/where is that? Regardless, a very ...
each one a recent aquisition. i thought it was only me that bought 2 watches a week, or used too very nice looking world timer. now i have a world timer, i'm looking for an interesting dual time/gmt. best Graham
But a cool watch, for sure... I'm hiding some of my additions for later, so, no, not 2 watches per week, this is your privilege, my friend. Best! Nicolas
It is over midnight in the East...I've been enjoying this big Lange this week as we exchanged watches with a friend Enjoy your Friday and HAGWE, it's going to be hot!...Matt...
Hi Rupert, I need some Lange experts, I don't know much about Lange, this is not my watch, it belongs to a German friend who normaly only has genuine watches. I only borrowed the watch for some minutes as I never got to wear one before, I am having some d...
even without seeing the back there are 2 major signs that it is - the large date and the second timezone on the right - it is supposed to be a power reserve indicator I am really sorry for your German friend - that is if he believes that this Lange is gen...
Actually I am having some doubts, this watch belongs to a German friend who otherwise has nice and genuine watches and is really not into kafes, I don't know much about Lange but with the questions on the forum regarding this one I am doubting if it is a ...
Oliver, you are an expert, you confirm this is a fake? Last week is the first time I saw some Lange in real with you and Dirk. If this one is indeed fake, damn it I need to inform my friend! Matt
The Lange 'signature' in such watches is the big date, as in - The date window in your friend's watch is not a 'big' date. There is no hand for the power reserve, no date corrector button and no indices for the 'second time zone' hands. It's not looking g...
shit I really hate this!...but there is no doubt, on top of it, the watch is really big, I have a big wrist and the watch is at least 46/47 mm if not more. I am really sorry about that, at least I learned something...my watches are less prestigious but at...
... the swap could have been a permanent one! Now you face that sticky question of 'what to say to the friend?'. Conventional wisdom says it's hard to be a winner - perhaps better not to go there. All the best.... Cheers, pplater.
I just wonder why the hell would someone copy a watch that doesn t exist? What is the point on that?A least do a faithful copy......It is funny how AUF and AB were left on the dial ,at this point they don t mean anything.....oh dear...... Sorry for your fr...
but look at the very small Big Date , the overall layout of the dial, ... and on top there never has been a Dual Time in the ALS collection (so far). Still would like to see the backside/movement Oliver
What a week! Work + work and ... more work. I love the mechanical/technical look of this watch. A mix of Jules Verne and a UFO. Cheers and a great weekend for all, Nilo...
The only one I can think of that I rather would have is an original Aquatimer…! But it might be because I don’t know IWC enough… Thank you, Art. Thanks to you and some other gentlemen here in the Friday-WS, I am currently in a vintage mo...

No doubt between the modern and the original! whnen I see this Ingenieur, I'm dreaming of building an Antimagnetic thema: The JLC Geophysic, the Omega Railmaster, the Rolex Milgauss, and this superb Ingenieur... That would be such an exciting thema! Best,...
Thank you, my friend for your kind words! Yes, to have the antimagnetic icons from different brands would really be something! Another theme I know you hunt, and I am thinking about to start searching for (when ever I am able to break free from JLC, that ...
My almost first love! I still have to find the Polaris 65, the IWC Ref 812 ( the one on the pic you posted ), a Super Compressor Droz, a Super Compressor Bulova, and a last Blancpain FF, to end this thema. We are totally nuts! Best, Nicolas
… also a week to remember the life and contribution of Nicolas George Hayek (19 February 1928 – 28 June 2010) to horology. So lets use this weeks WristScan thread to share the love of horology and show our appreciation for a life well led. Thankyou Mr Hay...
Thanks Nilo I suspected that was why you had posted such a Breguet portrait. Mr Hayek was such an advocate for this venerable brand name. I included a couple of non-SwatchGroup watches in my shot as well, but I think Mr Hayek’s motivation was to sup...
This was the first time I have tried to wear multiple watches like this and it is rather uncomfortable! Not sure how Mr Hayek did this regularly. Part of the difficulty is that I like to wear my watches snuggly and don't like them slipping about, and the ...
Is that an Memovox Ref 3150 in rosegold you are hiding under your sleeve?! Please feel free to share some photos over at the JLC forum! We don’t see them around that often… HAGWE Blomman
Give me a little more time and I will share the Memovox with you. I don't have the tools to open the case and need to get a watchmaker to do so to confirm the movement and serial number. Even a peek is nice, though, isn't it? Andrew
