Ah, but my preference generally is for . . .

 

. . . modestly sized watches, with the New Vintage being at the outermost level of acceptability for aesthetic comfort on my wrist.  All things being equal, the originals should be personally preferable.  It's to my surprise they aren't.  


In other words, from a purely personal standpoint, it's the revision I would want rather than the original if limited to just one piece.  Certainly, the originals have their own appeal that modern examples can't approach, but on pure aesthetics, it's the revision that works best for me.
