Given the event and the topic, the answer to your question of what off road commuter one should go for, the first generation Range Rover has to be the obvious answer 
And definitely agree with you - our P15 is the much better proportioned watch for most wrists than the Pilot is.
As for the Range Rover - I liked it from the start and it keeps growing on me every time I see it The model with RR removed from the dial I have yet to see live but on pictures it looks great
