New Pictures
OK - pictures of the replacement watch attached. Sme things I've noticed
1. I like both watches - I think I just like this replacement one *more*… One of the lugs has a dark spot underneath where it attaches to the case (and on the lug itself); however, I think I like this one more as it's not as pronounced and 'regular' around all the lugs.
2. The watch borders on being a bit large for my wrist, but I simply like the design. The watch has a very warm look to it. My other watches are all tool watches, but the simplicity of a time-only, warm-feeling watch is very different.
3. I think others have mentioned it, but the Zenith star really catches the light - hard to explain, but it 'pops' every now and then.
4. The lugs are just right - they make the watch wear/appear a bit smaller, but I've also noticed that they emphasize the roundness of face - it has a very circular presence and I think the lugs have much to do with this emphasis.
I'm really enjoying this watch and am excited to see how it changes over time!

I love the bronze... its an amazing watch! As Magnus has said the patina look on the case it is a manual process done by Zenith so each one is different and unique! I think it is then coated to stop the patina process from getting any stronger... I maybe ...

I did...
I simply liked the replacement watch better, recognizing it will change over time. All my other watches are tool watches, so the Pilot is very different - very warm and just very balanced.

One More Thing...
I've had the watch for 2.5 days and I set it to the atomic time clock when I received it…Amazingly, it is still spot-on! I know 2 days does not a test make; however, I'm (pleasantly) surprised!
