Zenith

that's always the problem with so called limited editions

And not only Zenith does it that way. How many LE speedmasters have been made ? How many Panerai, How many   ...

The only thing they do is change a tiny thing. Other hands, other dial color, an extra logo or inscription

I't a pity but that's the way it goes.

I would simply never call these watches  limited editions. if a specific model sells very well, you can bet on it they would make 15.000 if they would sell.
How many LE Speedmasters do exist ? Probably more than 100.000 all together

That's why I do like that huge beast so much, the big Montre D'aĆ©ronef with the 5011 K movement. That is a rare old stock movement. You just know they can't make a few K of these
because the only had a few hundred movements left.
A very rare movement, a movement that won prices for being the most precise at that time, a 50 year old movement  .... THAT is a limited edition smile
All the rest is marketing and creating an artificial scarcity

The example in this post is a nice watch but if every dealer in the world would ask Zenith to make 50, with the dealer name on it.
Than Zenith would make a few K of these watches

Look what Patek does with the Worldtimer. The Mecca edition was the first LE WT with a special dial. It was special and pretty unique.
Then came the  Doha, Munich, Edinburgh, Dubai, Jerusalem, ....
