Very interesting. But is this really an El Primero?
Having seen the back of the timepiece on another website, I think it is a cool watch, perhaps a bit large for my taste. The price is very competitive too, which is a nice surprise. Reaction on general sites is mixed, but the watch leaves a very positive impression with me.
Here, Zenith had a chance to say (emphatically), "We're more than the El Primero chronograph movement...we're a manufacture that has mastered some interesting complications."
Yet, all of these advanced movements share the El Primero name. The only common feature I can see is the 5Hz frequency. Here the movement architecture looks nothing like the chronograph, which is not the case with the Espada and Synopsis. So I'm a bit puzzled with the naming convention.
