A. Lange & Söhne

I've been admiring the brand for quite some time, but was never the right moment to pull the trigger.

Earlier this year, due to a couple of coincidences, I faced an opportunity that couldn't refuse, and I couldn't be happier.

I think that I haven't yet shared it here 😊

I hope it won't be my last Lange, being the Datograph very high on my wishlist (my wallet may disagree, but dreaming is for free, right? 😅).

They don't really make a bad watch. Some earlier entry model pieces were known to have poor finishing. For instance the early 1815s had bad finishing. Other than that, everything else they've made has been a winner. I'm not personally crazy about the Cabaret Tourbillon as the Tourbillon is too small - I like big balance wheels.

You made a great choice even if a Datograph doesn't enter down the road. Hopefully you'll continue to enjoy it. I've found that different lines within the brand (and even different Lange 1 variations) evoke totally distinct emotions in me. It's very different from my experience of switching between say a Rolex GMT and Sea-Dweller, where the feelings are less distinct (for me).

I have the same thoughts when I plan the diversity in my collection. So far, I have more experience with Patek and Rolex, but definitely will keep an eye on Lange 😉
