Interestingly, the actual date of the launch was - of course - the 24th, but Herr Blümlein wanted the dates set at the 25th such that they would be correct in the photos in the following day's newspapers. Yet another mark of the late man's genius.

I hope we can have this sort of thread on the 25th of every month! I tried that in 2022 and am wearing the same watch today, coincidentally!

I'm all in for every 25th! But cannot promise to be wearing Lange though every month, too many variables impacting, like work, travels... hehehe

New strap today for the oldie.

Really stunning! What reference is this? The strap goes great with the watch!

This Grand Lange # 115.021 came out in 2003 and the champagne dial does go well with different color of straps.

Very difficult to capture all the nuances, but a treat to wear:

To me, these dials look best in low, indoor lighting. I see more dial colors in those conditions. I love dials that change color like this.

Its all about the angle and lighting. These dials are simply wonderful (and if I recall correctly an absolute pain to make!).  Some older pics showing the playfulness of the dial:
