A. Lange & Söhne

Searched the forum and found only two pics. I've owned a lot of Langes and none quite did it for me. Perhaps the black lange 1--my AD happens to have a new one, that Lange very recently sent to him--I thought it could be destiny calling---and I've been semi-obsessed with the thought of getting it. I love everything Lange stands for, the execution of detail and service is second to none--but I have not yet found 'my' Lange. Pics of this one would help a lot as my AD is 2000 miles away....

If I didn't already own the one in white gold, I would go for that one in a heartbeat.

Your beautiful L1 makes me wonder as to why there are not more dark dial Lange´s around.
It seems the bright colours are preferred, while yours certainly is proof the black ones make for a real beauty too.
The big date is almost subtle in appearance, a very nice visual effect!

platinum case.

Thanks for your nice comments. This was neither an LE or a special edition, but, as Mostel, points out, it's been discontinued so it is rather hard to find. Some ADs do get them in on occasion. It's a rather hefty platinum case, and the really nice touch that it has is the blackout date window.
