I'll probably give it to mom over a quiet mother and son dinner, as it's past her birthday already, and I am giving it out of respect for my mom, and to let her know that her son is midnight blue.

I raise my flute of champagne to you Stephen; congratulations upon your acquisition of your new Richard Lange Pour le Mérite in platinum. 

I believe these are the first photos of a non-prototype Richard Lange Pour le Mérite I've ever seen.  The final product has a beauty beyond description, an aura beyond words, and a worthy wrist to belong to.  This watch represents a feat that was considered impossible for centuries; and only barely feasible today. 

What a magnificent timepiece, and the personalized balance cock is an exquisite touch!  The personalized strap with a single hole was not what I expected; but an excellent idea that ought to be implemented more often!  

With all of these personal touches, and the loving devotion of its doting owner; this watch screams Stephen through and through. 

I thank you Stephen for introducing me to the individual steps and showing me each milestone in the acquisition process; from the initial ordering phase, the personalization program, the anticipation, and the moment of introduction.  Thank you for allowing me and the members of the PuristSPro society live vicariously through your experience.  It's been a very exciting journey for me! 

Congratulations and I hope to admire your beautiful watch in person someday in the near future!  My only comment is this; wear it often, use it often, no need to get another Lange 1815 to wear in lieu of it.

It's been a long journey indeed, beginning last November when I 1st came to the knowledge of it's existence. From the moment I laid eyes on it, even on paper, I knew THIS WAS ONE FOR ME. If i only ever got one complicated watch in my life, this was it. It I ever needed the simplest watch in my life, this is it too.

Thank you for following me throughout the journey, and now it has culminated in the actual product sleeping right here in my watch case! It is amazing, I could cry...

This watch, as you have said it, indeeds screams me, from the size ( 40.5mm, which is above my criterion of 40mm) , the exquisite hand-wound movement, the only kinds i would purchase, to naturally the case made of gleaming Platinum 950. The strap, Midnight Blue ( BluNotte!) crocodile with Platinum stitching, and the single, made to measure hole ( which btw all my platinum watches sports this kinda strap) . Full bred for a Perfectionist Purist.

I will wear it, don'T you worry that it's a museum piece, i am NOT that kind of a collector, i do wear my watches, but with great care naturally, and no abuse ( except maybe my Panerais, Lol, if you call going into the tub with the lights off to test it's legibility abuse).

This one will get the full attention from me, after it has passed it's "Stephen test".

Btw, in case you didn't know, I already received my 1815, it's in the post below. It is in itself spectacular as well.

Both for different occasions.

For this Pour Le Merite, it shall receive a place of glory and honour, when it accompanies me.

Yes apparently my PLM is the 1st here in Japan, and i heard that the PLM is being manufactured according to the limited number, from bottom up.

So my piece is the lowest number, and thus gets completed 1st!
