and I was so stinkin' busy that I opened the box at my office after everyone went home and it was peaceful and quiet. I kept gazing at it and the minutes went by as I awaited another "flip" of the numerals. So many in fact that I looked up and saw it was late and I needed to get home and pack for a week on the east coast! So here I am typing this from the air! Alas, the new beauty is at home resting comfortably I hope. I promise I will take some beauty shots of front and back when I get home next week.

My initial thoughts are that it is ultra cool. The passing of the minutes is mesmerizing to me. It is a blend of bauhaus and what I call "functional cool!" A bit strange not looking at hands to tell the time but hey . . . I can get used to it! I think it will look great with a crisp suit as the watch in this metal and dial combo is very crisp itself.

Looks good on my wrist you say???? Don't know about that but I'll take it and thank you sir! All I see is an old wrist! Haha!

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend. By the way, I'll be in New York and have a few days to kick around so if you can recommend some watch shops I'd appreciate it. I know the two big retailers but was wondering if any boutiques opened in the past few years other than Breguet and Blancpain. Thanks!

Yes, we have to be used to read Time without hands, but to see these numbers moving is another very nice way to read Time.

Can't wait to see pics of it, out of its plastic!

FP Journe recently opened a boutique on Madison in the 60's

Panerai opened one on Madison in the 50's

Cellini on Madison and Wempe on 5th are still going strong

I think that everybody here will be happy to get news about the behaviour of your Zeitwerk for example two months later: we all know that it is a reliable mechanism but due to the specificities of the time display, a feedback from you would be welcome !

I think that this colour combination is my favourite.
