I'm interested in buying a Double Split, I love the movement/workmanship and also the fact that it's a big watch. After wearing AP Roos I feel that most other watches just look too small on my wrist. I admire both Patek and Lange but unfortunately all the Pateks I've tried just look too small and thin. I originally became interested in the Datograph and have just recently come across the Double Split.

Unfortunately I can't find as much info on the net as there is on the Datograph, can anyone here what's good and bad about the watch and how it's perceived in horological terms. I love the fact that it's a thick watch and quite deep so they are pros for me, thanks in advance.

That as an owner of one it is a spectacular watch. It looks and feels amazing in every way! It is a thick chunky watch 

I Have read many of your posts as most of them feature watches that I love. How does the DS feel on wrist for size when you compare it to the Safari and then your Patek (I think it's a 5070)?

I have a 7 1/4 to 1/2 inch wrist so I wer bigger watches fine. I love the size and heft of it!! Cheers,

It truly looks as though it belongs in a museum.  I also adore APs and my wrist size is exactly like Kens.  Hence, I know what you mean liking larger pieces and not being able to find many choices from other brands.  The Double Split is like an AP ROO in size yet with uber elegance and more parts than an AP or PP.  So you get it all in one spectacular watch.   

When people have had roos they'd understand that it's hard to find other watches that have the same sort of presence as an AP. I'm going to see a DS at a dealer in the next few days. Thanks for the feedback.

I do not know if you have read my recent post about the DS: it is two chronos in one watch.

Other chronos do not stand the slightest chance if you want an accurately scaled, accurately running and

utterly useful chrono for measuring AND comparing 30 minte intervals.

I am not a chrono person BUT this one would be the only choice for me.

Sadly it is out of my reach, but again: that is a chrono.

As the absolute pinnacle of chronograph movements!  A technical tour de force -- and gorgeous to boot.  I love mine a lot more than I thought I would -- and I expected to love it a lot!
