A. Lange & Söhne

I know there have been a few other postings on this trip, but here are a few photos from mine.
First, I have to congratulate Lange und Soehne, its staff and organizers for a first class visit. Everything was wonderful, the accomodations, the food, the staff we met at the Manufacture and of course our host, Gaetan Guillosson. It was also a great pleasure to meet some of the like-minded Lange aficionados with whom after only a few days seemed like old friends. Ironically there were also a few Vacheron collectors, but that should be no surprise.
Here are some photos from the trip.
We also travelled on to Wetzlar (where I was born) to visit another great German manufacturer of fine precision instruments. (as you will see).

You were perfectly welcomed by the Lange team, I'm glad to see some familiar faces in your pictures!

Beautifully photographed, which is no surprise to me.  The Leica leg of the trip must also have been fascinating. 

It is interesting to see the overlap in collecting VC and Lange.

And a visit to Leica...  That's interesting...  

I have a few other pics but just different images of the museum and gallery.
The museum which is chronological history of the company, with old and new optical equipment, not just cameras. But it is a Leica aficionados dream.
The gallery is also spectacular with both recent and historical images taken by up-and-coming photographers as well as those of the past century.
I had arranged a tour in advance so I was able to see some of the manufacturing section as well as the design studios. (no pics allowed there).
So combining 2 historical German precision manufacturers was a real treat.
