Watches and Wonders Hong Kong - Lange

Attended the Watches and Wonders 2014 show in Hong Kong this morning. 

Virtually everything Lange makes was on display and it was great to see the Terra Luna, the 20th anniversary sets, etc.

Quite a morning of Haute Horology between Lange and JLC.  Back tomorrow for Vacheron and Audemars smile

Must have been breath-taking to see this many heavy-hitters in one room! I can only imagine the excitement of seeing all 3 versions of the Handwerkskunst.. that would be one picture for the ages.

I was quite impressed with the Lange 1 20th anniversary sets. First impressions was the WG blue dial set was nicest but later I concluded the RG silver dial was still my all time classic preference. smile

To hear the different sounds of the movement ticking, I had no idea they could be so different, depending on the type of movement they were using. Very different in some cases, i.e. comparing the ticking of the 1815 Chrono vs the Zeitwerk Striking Time.

I had never even thought of this concept before, and kudos to Lange for highlighting it, and allowing such an experience... I see myself holding watches closer to my ears next time I am in a store, as well as visually looking!! Unfortunately I was wearing a watch with a bracelet, so couldn't listen to my own, to compare.


It was cool...

I would be nice to talk to master watchmaker, Martin to understand how the constant force escapement work and his top 5 Lange watches.

I would love to own one of the 20th anniversary sets. Beautiful dial!
