Montblanc

some more pics...

thanks a lot Robin for the invite. it was a great event and i enjoyed myself very much.

at this event, most happy return for me was able to view and try the Twin moonphase which i was missed doing that at our last dinner event.

viewing the twin moonphas in metal and trying it on my wrist gave a great pleasure. i would say it is a beautiful and well-made watch and also valued for money piece. the most attacking me are the off-center date sub-dial, hour breguet numerals as well as the so-called twin moonphase which not only gives an interesting display, but also sufficient functionality for the watch. these combined features are hardly seen in any other brand as far as i know.

Anyway I guess most PuristS can already guess that it's you smile
3 nights of hanging out together with JLC and Montblanc... no wonder horogasm commented something about us! :p

Glad you enjoyed Stefan and thanks for the additional photos.
I always admire your skills with the smartphone camera!
And I was so shy to take the waitresses' photos... yet you have such a nice one! smile
Their costumes were so cool! Great idea from Montblanc for the evening.

Glad you like the Star Twin moonphase too. I did a wrist review recently. Very unique watch in both looks and complication. Versatile too for formal and casual wear.

Cheers
Robin

I love the Gin Tonic syringes!

Let's take a shot!

Let's take a shot Robin!

Soup in a test tube.  That's been done.  Molecular gastronomy.  Follicle anatomy.

So, why did Montblanc choose Hugh Jackman?  What's the relation between him and 90 years of writing?  Is he a talented writer (he does have a background in Communications)?  I guess I'll have to see that video...

As for your guest...  I really don't have a clue.  It's not Amanico.  Is it Stefan or Patrick?  Or is it Hugh Jackman?  Who's your guest and fellow Purist?  And did that guest succumb to Montblanc venom?

Stefan admitted it was him too early! :)

The guest was Stefan. Stefan's poison skills are higher than mine so I need to put in more effort! :p
but I was glad he enjoyed the event and took some nice pics of the lovely Star Twin moonphase.

One of the reasons why Hugh Jackman is a very suitable ambassador to Montblanc imho is his passion and strong involvement in the arts, beyond commercial movies. He is a talented broadway actor too, great on stage and with his singing. Montblanc tends to find ambassadors strong and supportive in the arts and music field. Another example is Lang Lang the pianist.

Actually I notice the Meisterstuck Heritage bracelet is quite similar in design to the new bracelets of the Nicolas Rieussec series. It feels more comfortable than the older bracelets of the Rieussec series (and the Star series seems to still use the older bracelet from what I observed).

I will find out more and take closer shots of the new bracelet for you my friend

It looks like a wonderful and fun event.

I wonder if the gin tonic syringes represent a certain trend in Hollywood smile

Thanks for the report...wish this was in the US!

It definitely is a looker and I love the case back alot too as the calibre 13.21 is shown in its full beauty!
Hope to meet you one day Mike - we can have a drink of gin tonic on a syringe (esp since you are a doctor) smile
