… and thank you for your hosting and starting the event bringing these great award winning films.
Let me play with a few of my favorite films and watches to accompany them:
Apocalipze Now from 1978 received two Oscars in 1979 for Best Sound and Photography. I feel it deserved Best film as well!
Actors Martin Sheen, Marlon Brando and Robert Duval made a great job directed by Francis Ford Coppola in this film based in the book Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad.

Martín Sheen as Capt. Willard wearing the Seiko 6105 he made famous.
And my film related shots:
Next film:
You already mentioned West Side Story from 1962. It received the record of 10 Oscars plus a special one for co-director Robbin’s.
Director Robert Wise and music from Leonard Bernstein! And actors Natalie Woods, Rita Moreno, George Chakiris, Richard Bruner and Russ Tamblyn and their spectacular unforgettable dances made for the record of Oscars it deserved.
Memorable scene of a knife fight between Sharks and Jets hangs inspired my own photographs:

These are the watches I imagine the fighters would have used with the Italian automatic switchblades type they used in the famous scene.
The Zenith I don’t know the reference. I love its Art Deco indexes of this lovely watch.
I will return later with two additional favorite films
Cheers! Abel
