Should I stop participating?
I have become a horological boring old f..t. I am more than happy to wear the 5513 in most situations. Even my kids recognise it as 'dad's watch' which I really like. It gives it some meaning and life and it's not just part of a big collection. Anyway, I will have my F.P.Journe Octa RdM back on my wrist in a week, and I can start alternating again. In fact I may have forgotten where I left that box with the rest of the watch collection!

Still runs within COSC spec....though the watch is not rated as one.
My 5513 doesn't know any better ...
On my wrist this week it is within 4 seconds of where I set it last Friday. That's a particularly good performance, although it's never out by more than 10-15 seconds in a week. Superb for a 44 year old mechanism.

It's the default choice if one is too lazy to think of what to wear. It's like a trusty old screwdriver, when one is lazy to hook up all the new electrical screwdrivers to the sockets and spend hours pouring over the manuals...one just reach out to the old trusty(maybe even rusty!!).
