Wandering past the Lotus showroom in Piccadilly, London - Evija Emerson Fittipaldi - wow!
I like cars, although I am not fanatical about them, but walking past the Lotus showroom in London this afternoon I saw the Emerson Fittipaldi edition of the Evija electric hyper car.
I have to say that, in the “John Player Special” colour scheme of black with gold highlights, it is one of the most beautiful cars I’ve ever seen. There were plenty of people wandering into the showroom to take pictures - I happily joined them! (initial pictures courtesy of Lotus and then my snaps):

I know what you mean but when it looks like this, has 2,039 PS and can do 0-300kph in under 9 seconds I can live without internal combustion😀

Which raises the same question than with a Sea Dweller able to go in the Marianne Trench... When and where will we be able to use the super performances of such a hyper car?
Being able to go 300 Kph is magic, but in less than 9 secs... And 2000 HP... Give me a third of the power in a 1000 Kilos car and you will already have a rocket. And a dangerous one. 
Isn’t the usual response “…but it’s great that it has the engineering capabilities to do these things, even if I will never use them myself”!
At least that’s what I told my wife when I bought my Deepsea. She was not convinced😀
At least with this Lotus (and other hyper cars) it looks particularly beautiful and you can just admire the design. Often other products which are designed for extremes of performance are not beautiful. Certainly the various Deepsea models could not really be described as “pretty’.

Hehehe good one. :))) I agree on the design, it is superb. But I have hard times accepting the lack of melody of a fueled engine.

We should also consider the air quality in London and other cities. It was estimated by Imperial Collage London that toxic air contributed to the premature deaths of around 4,000 Londoners In 2019.

Is that showroom new? I've walked past that area many times last year and I don't recall seeing it.
I don’t know Patrick, I only walk that way 3-4 times a year. I don’t remember seeing it earlier in the year.
I think other car manufacturers have had pop up showrooms there in the past. It’s a good spot opposite the Ritz.
