All the recent threads inspired me to get the car out and ready for summer! Took the long way to the shop and was reminded how little more I could want from a car. If anything it is too much for our roads and traffic, too much power, grip, brake, everything that I can't imagine "upgrading" to more. I think the next step is maybe less, less everything, more Caterham than F12....

But for Porsche owners that want more, the "shop" is Deman Motorsport, the home of big block yuge power Porsches. They are punching GT4s and GT3s flat sixes out to 4.7l / 4.5l resulting in >600hp NA sledge hammers. Tidy buttoned up Porsches transform into absolutely wild monsters, muscle cars that can go everywhere sideways. These builds make stock but incredible GT3 engines feel like S2000s, I can't say enough how much a big bucket of more torque totally changes the driving experience, highly recommended 😂

Nearly a dozen GT4s, Spyders, and GT3s from all over the world here at the shop getting yuge engines.

At least on the street. My 86 is fun on the street because you can flog it and it’s still going relatively reasonable speeds.
For the track, I do enjoy a bit more oomph. 😇

Equal to sending in your tourbillon for service 10 times... let's face it, power and going fast is expensive.
Not saying I haven't spent plenty in this direction in the past but I'm over it (for this week, anyway)

Funny thing, I wrote to a well known car reviewer / journalist / youtuber years ago and highly recommended he stop by and give one of these a try next time he was in the Northeast. He wrote back saying he'd driven all the Caymans and 911s under the sun and was over them, not interested, he could tell me exactly how the car would drive without even getting behind the wheel, and nothing would top the V8 swapped cayman he had reviewed previously. Fast forward about a year or so and a youtube video popped up with him ripping through the woods in the 4.5l development car saying it was the best porsche he had ever driven. Another year or two late and then a youtube video about his new car - a 4.5l spyder 😂

Maybe the most fun car I ever had on street or track was my '88 M5, on little 225s you could pick your angle. I think we all need to go back to skinny tires, being able to rotate and slide a car a low speeds was lost as Nurburgring times for street cars has became a thing. On the track all the power and grip are nice but on the road, maybe all a little numbing....

They should be holding up a glass coffee table top for maximum visual enjoyment!
