.. the driving becomes intense .. even if you think of taking it easy (bear in mind this heavy car isn't mine) it is not comparable to any road driving (except for that one time last year LOL).
The parts in the drilled holes were mainly cooked brake-dust as it was pretty easy to remove.
I didn't know that the brakes on this E55 were so 'complicated'

... hmm, mr. B will be happy with the bill

.
About driving an E55 on a relatively small racetrack:
We feared the worst and on the road to the track we made all kind of jokes about what would happen, would it burn down? Will the brakes last longer that 2 laps before they go up in flames ? Will the tires last a 20 minute session? Will one of us crash it ? Will we ridiculize ourselves ?
Actually after a few laps both of us were very very pleasantly surprised, okay it is a very heavy car and you feel that ...but it feels so composed in any situation be it a 90° cutting corner or a long off camber left-hander were you have to start braking in the middle of it at 80 mph because there's a 90° left with no room to spare right after it ... all went well.
Actually i don't know what tires mr. B had mounted but he bought two very cheap secondhand ones because he feared we would demolish them in less than one hour, which we did not as we left in the evening with a lot of thread left. About the differential i don't know but there was huge traction coming out of any corner, unfortunately we were not able to fully delete the ESP , or should i say lucky we couldn't do that

?
Every time i felt the rear end starting to break out i felt i could keep it for a while like that but then the ESP came in ..... when i tried harder the same again so i wasn't able to try a serious drift as then the electronics violently did their job to prevent me from doing so.
We didn't check the engine oil and no warning about oil or whatever except for the brakes came on the display.
Bad points ? Yes ! The gear change with the little knobs at the back of the steering wheel were VERY confusing as were the wide seats with too little support off course.
The verdict:
This 11 years old bonkers car is the ideal track day car if you want to travel in full comfort and return home without any or too many issues.
Next time i do think i'll take my 1240 kilo Clio, i don't mind the shake-down on the highway to the track, it's only 120 miles after all

... one way ... .
