Love the electric blue one on the right.

Interestingly when I ordered the strap for the J I thought it would be a darker blue just like the one on the G. At first I was disappointed, but only until I put it on the J. Then I was extremely happy.

These are beautiful!  Are these from the Patek strap catalog?  Would like to know the color code and details for the one on the 5131G.

Mike, the strap on the J is called shiny royal blue. The strap on the G I ordered sometime ago. I think it also might've been royal blue. Please note that the color you order and receive may not not be exactly as it is in the book and yes the straps I ordered are listed.

The green for the R is especially interesting because of its matching with the green enamel for the continents. Certainly wearing it must provide an even more dynamic feel !

.....whenever I look at a specific strap, that specific colour seems to become quite dominant within the enamel of that specific watch. I have to say, I would have great difficulty picking which of these combinations I like the most.

You have posted these three wonders before asking which variant was preferred by forum members. If i remember correctly, the order went Rose, White, Yellow. Looking at these strap variations has the effect of levelling the playing field. Rose is no longer the "clear" winner at all...I find them all quite equally appealing.

Yes, I mopre often than not ask Patek to supply me with an alternative to the strap that is typical for a watch. I love wearing blue with coloured gold so often ask for that variation. Typically, I will also request a matt rather than patent leather, but nonetheless keep one or two patent for special occasions. I think we spend so much time thinking about the most minute details of our watches that it is almost criminal not to spend time thinking about various strap combinations and how that might change the personality of a watch...sometimes for the better.

To seeing the 3 together in their new clothes. Very difficult to choose an order of preference. For me the J has gone way up. I tried very hard to match the strap to enamel, although I feel in general, that blue goes very well with white metal case and green goes very well with rose. I was surprised at the transformation of the J with the blue strap.
The original vote was R - 9, G - 4 and J - a lonely 1.

Patekova, you emphasized a subject we feel in every related thread is something people appreciate very much.

In the mean time, I must say we don't see that much and I didn't go that way either yet!

I have one with a bracelet and one with rubber thus not relevant but when considering a future purchase, the strap color possibilities is something I think about.

Black dial watches are more difficult to combine with strap colors but otherwise there are many opportunities to get a totally new watch.

Particularly with a white metal case, but in addition to black, there is black with white stitch (which Patek supplied with many 5070Gs) and a light champagne (often favored by Italian and other collectors). With a rose case a reddish brown can work well.
