On the Sporty - Chic line I would say the white one is more on the sporty side than the black dial. Because of the black colour but also because of the white gold finish of all the dial elements (hands, markers, window frames...) which are a little more classical and neutral. This is leads to a more contrasted and dynamic dial in the white reference.
That's just my subjective feeling and it will depend on how the owner will enjoy it. For instance, I see why you like the white one and totally see you wearing it on holidays or while driving your nice Volvo on a Sunday morning.
I would use it as an everyday wearer and I would prefer the black one in that context.
I'll see how I feel after I try them in a few months.
