Against the trend, i decided to get something for the long term, irrespective of future value. The watch is very much Patek and with amazing elgance. Got it today. Will give more feedback in next days, but thought to share with you.

This is one of the only reference that is truly hidden in value. Only time will tell when this reference will be one of the most sought after in the secondary market. There is a very very high likelihood it may be discontinued soon. Congrats on one of the last few deliveriesā¦

There is some patina/ oxidation over the blacked white gold arabic indices and the adjacent salmon dial, hence would like to fix it within the warranty. Gladly it came back like new.

Regrettably I didnāt have the before photo. As those oxidation/ patina are very subtle and probably need macro lens settings to capture them.
I guess those kind of oxidation are still quite common among all Patek with blackened white gold hands/ index. My 5159R also developed similar oxidation beforeā¦ā¦.

My hometown is indeed warm and humid.
But I always observe the rules to avoid humidity getting into the watch (kept crown pushed in, never wind the watch or operate the chronograph when thereās any moisture, keep the watch in a wooden storage box when not wearing itā¦ā¦), together with the 30M water resistance of the reference, I believe the oxidation shouldnāt be caused by humidity.
PP Geneva didnāt say the reason of the oxidation and they replaced the dial and hands free of charge. Appreciate their excellent service as always.

Hello watches, a wonderful choice for a Patek!
I bought mine about 18 months ago and wear it often, it is timeless, a great size, dial color is gorgeous and the functions are awesome. This is a perpetual calendar I can read and use, it is somewhat of a pain having to wind it often, kinda goes against the perpetual theme 
but it is a true watch collectors watch and the joy of setting it makes me slow down and enjoy what I bought. Wear it in good healthā¦Jim
