That does seem to happen more with Patek than all other brands. For me that is.

The 5204R is absolutely stunning and incredibly tempting.
I love the green for 5930….we now have blue, red and green….P probably means a discontinuation next
It will be expensive no doubt and unloved..but still gorgeous to look at
I'm assuming this new iteration (green, which is the color of the year, plus Platinum) will be more successful than the earlier G version...but I'll be interested to see the market's reaction for it, it's indeed never been a big favorite so far! ;-)
The G already wears strangely due to it’s hight / dial ratio…in P will be a beast..look forward to seeing it

My wild prediction of this (very) controversial color is that
It will be the new international advertising piece for the Spring ‘22 PP publications and advertising campaign.
It is a visual attraction.
It certainly sounds like a "wilder" idea for Patek's marketing than it would for other brands, but not necessarily a bad one in my view....and I'll save your prediction since I don't knw the answer yet! ;-))
OK then I might suggest it to Patek, at least for part of the marketing…don’t underestimate yourself (nor them! ;-))

...or at least that used to be the pattern. But today, every model (ugly or not) is snapped up immediately...
I'm pretty confident it will be received with more enthusiasm than the G version, but I'm curious to see to which extent, since it's not necessarily given for granted...for sure, I am putting it in the *very* good-looking category! ;-) Cheers.
I think it's a nice (if trendy) color...
...my comment was more about the future desirability of watches considered 'ugly' at the time of manufacture. The ref. 5020 comes to mind. I loved it the moment I saw it, but they didn't sell many when it first came out. Now it is very pricey : )
A pity they chose green. Too much green, for me. It is too trendy for a piece which aspires to be a classic. Especially in platinum!
