Interesting concave bezel. I thought all bezels on the 3940s were rounded, but it seems the very early ones were concave. Is that right?

Not only it is the case on this mark 1 series (merci Nico for the nice pics 😉👌👌) but unless I am mistaking it it is also the case on the later series. Only its successor the ref 5140 has a convex bezel like so many other references (5146, 5035, 5205…)

I think the convex bezel is a nice case detail. Lovely watch.
I personally much prefer the concave bezel (like on 5970) but of course this a question of personal taste
