It seems that most of the Cubitus released to ADs are already on the grey market, at least looking at the 41 (FORTYONE) listings on a popular marketplace.

Not necessarily
37/47 of those listings are just using the images from Patek's website. Of the remaining 7, I recognize two as using other people's photos. The most legitimate-looking ones flat-out say "Item needs to be procured".
Alas, this is very much expected. Am surprised anyone would be surprised.
JayZ and LeBron still haven't been seen wearing theirs, just wait and see when PP's possible marketing / sponsorship / tie-ins kicks in. Bigger size is great for certain sports athletes. Product rollouts are planned long in advance.

they dont value their money
peoplw who buy it at these prices must really not value their money and have misplaced priorities.

Most "sport" models of different brands, which were unaccessible and attempted to be sold with speculative prices on the secondary market, are back on the store's shelves. Patek was there 10 years ago. Cycles repeat!

It has always been the same irrespective of the brand,

pieces are for sale at the AD.
I would imagine a lot of the buyers are watch dealers
or organised groups. The types of groups unfortunately just buy anything they get offered in big bundles from dealers in London, Dubai, HK, Singapore etc and then sell to order elsewhere and the pieces (and money) move around worldwide. They just buy whatever they are offered and get high status in short amount of time that way. They’ll no doubt aim to make profit on the sports and desirable high end dress pieces to more than make up for losses on the “more common” dress pieces.
People never learn
Just not long ago, there are folks that bought into Natilus and RO at hugely inflated prices in sec market and they have all gone down drastically. Some people just never learn.
Collected my Cubitus 5822P on Monday.
I wasn’t at all convinced until I tried it on the wrist, all I can say is I’m very happy. Instantaneous day/date is a great new complication and the change from round to baguette diamond to denote platinum is a nice touch. I feel the strap version possibly wears slightly smaller than the bracelet versions despite the extra thickness and hence my choice.
I should add, I had the chance to handle the full current collection at the same time as looking at the Cubitus. Particularly I was able to compare it to the 5980G which I had on order, after the comparison I changed my order and picked up the Cubitus instead.
