5968G vs 5726?? Thoughts please
my wonderful AD has offered me the blue dial 5726. Thinking about thinning out my collection and am considering offloading my 5212 and 5968 - my question is would you have the 5968 over the 5726 or vice versa and why?
I can understand downsizing the 5212 but the choice between the 5726 and 5968 is a tough one hence your question.
The question is how much wristime do you enjoy with your Aquanaut. It is a sporty watch and depending on your lifestyle work elegantly. On the other hand the 5726 will be a little heavier on the wrist but equally as sporty.
You need to have them on your wrist side by side to see how they feel. Both are top choices. Please do let us know your decision.

I don’t really
wear the aquanaut as a daily, maybe once per week. The 5212 is a no brainer to offload for me. Although a fantastic dial, I have never really enjoyed it. So have only worn it for a full day once in two years. Like the suggestion of a side by side with the Nautilus. Will let you know what I do. Thanks.
The 5212 is a great watch and a rare new innovation / complication Patek did not have prior.
I am also mesmerized by the 5212 dial still working on the honeymoon. It really is an understated beauty.
Personally the nautilus over aquanaut
I just like the annual calendar in an everyday form. That being said a an aquanaut is super comfy on the wrist. I could see getting rid of the 5212 but out of those you posted, that would be the one I’d wear 😂

the reason i bought the 5212 was because i thought that it would be a good everyday piece. Never worked out that way as it never really sung to me. I have always preferred my 5146 over the 5212. For the Nautilus, that blue is amazing and has been one of my grails for a good few years.
All depends on what you actually like to wear
I have moved on from stuff I really liked the idea of and even the watch itself- but I never went for it when I got to the watch box. As for 5212 I just really like the font , some novelty with the 52w marker, and the case shape/lugs. I don’t keep up with Patek enough to know the movements and such

- if you want a very sporty look, you can have a bright strap (such as orange, red, etc.) on your 5968G and it would work well
- overall 5726 has more functional complications vs chronograph on 5968
- Nautilus is the original design by GG
Overall, I personally would go with 5726 but IMO you need to decide your personal criteria first.

while i really do love the aquanaut - i have never used the chrono. The Nautilus really is a grail piece for me. So, provided the price is right I am leaning towards offloading the 5968 and the 5212 and picking up the 5726. That would leave me with the 5524G, 5146G Tiffany stamped dial and the 5726. Those three make feel complete?

a couple of months ago i picked up the skydweller. Absolutely love it. Fast becoming my daily wearer. Kind of liking the look of the new AP ROO. But otherwise I am not seeing anything that really keeps me awake at night at the moment.

In general I prefer the nautilus over the aquanaut..
An annual cal is a more useful complication compared to a chrono (unless it’s a manual lateral clutch chrono with a beautiful movement)
