Indeed, not hard to understand why it is so sought after.

The 3417 is a wonderful reference and this particular luminous example is simply incredible.

the pearl dot minute markers and the 'gold furniture'-do it for me on the dial
would prefer the calibre 27sc with the direct drive centre seconds
I personally prefer the architecture of the 12-400 with the S-shaped centre bridge. Much more to my taste.
