Patek Philippe

My AD rang me today and said both the 5980 and 5960 are waiting for me. Clearly a sign the Patek marketplace has softened up considerably given that I am not one of  his most regular customers. This said ,I will take one and wanted any strong opinions on which to leave behind. Up front I would say that I am leaning in the direction of the 5980 already but I would appreciate any 5960 owners telling me if I am missing something by passing on it.

All those "buy the one you like most" advocates, PLEASE refrain. Thanks.

The Nautilus is not bad but compared to the platinum 5960 chronograph annual calendar it's nothing. I think the Nautilus is way too expensive for what you get.

5960 is also an annual calendar (what I like and I'm not you again)!

I prefer the design of the watch.

I prefer platinum.

and if I want a Nautilus, I would go for 5712, preferably rose. I like wearing leather straps with deployant buckles.

The point is when you want to wear on the Patek.

Both are good.

In fact, I have the two Chrono owner.

I like both,and both piece is necessary for my life.

For example,In the morning, I wear 5980 when I am running.

And I change to 5960P for job.

I enjoy both watch very well.

 

There's a lot of calls being made this last week or 2 it seems.

relative to other currencies, it makes sense to me that Patek will ship more watches at this time to the USA!
