The 5146 is probably Patek best selling complicated watch...

So I am sure there are plenty out there for those willing to spend $35k+or-. Having said that, I bought my 5146G with gray dial in January of 2008 and that particular model in white gold with gray dial was very hard to find. I called about 22 ADs in the US and no one had it. Some called Patek and were told that it would be close to a year wait on that particular combination. I finally found one at Tiffany's in the West Coast, which they shipped east for me. Several Ads had the yellow gold with white dial. I don't know if this information is still true but it was what happened to me. I suspect (hope?) the white gold gray dial is still hard to find.
...I only had to wait for about seven or eight months since I ordered it... I tend to agree that 5146 will never be the sensation at Antiquorum or Christies, but it certainly keeps me hypnotized. I am actually wearing mine today and...I feel good!
