It's all straight up the middle, sides are empty.
That's not IMHO it's a fact.

5396 new dial will be available both in rose and in white gold.

Just when Patek disappoints me with watches like the new ladies chronograph and the awful officer caseback Calatrava launched this year, it redeems itself with a watch like the new 5396. Bravo.

I have one question for you Jerome : do you know if it is possible to order Patek watch with special dials ?
In the past I saw 2499 , 3970 with special dials order for only one customer (unique pcs. or just few realized)
Does Patek still offer this service for the running production ? Thanks in advance for your answer .
Walter

No, they don´t - AFAIK - as I tried it in Germany to order a swap dial but they strictly said "NO"
But maybe you are more successful in other markets and with good connections...
As you know Germans are very strict in everything they do

While this is nice, it seems vanillia Calatrava compared to the beautiful sector dial.

It looks very classic! Mimic a 3448. Just wonder if the price of Wempe 5125 may drop after the the release of new 5396.
BTW, would you guess whether there will be a PT version with black dial later? If so, would be a killer!
Cheers,
it's a limited edition, with special engraving, and for those with German days/months... it'll always be something special, with its own reference number.
Which reminds me... why did PP decide to call this 5396 instead of a new reference???? Dje... care to comment? I'm sure everybody has the same question in mind... Is PP trying to set a new trend of releasing new watches outside of the Basel meetings? First the ladies chrono, now the new 5396...
