Patek Philippe

First of all best New Year wishes for all Purists celebrating the New Year of the Tiger. From what I've seen or the lack of it...there isn't very much interest in the new 5153. I've been wanting a "simple" three-handed Patek for some time and decided to go for this. Sits nicely on the wrist but yet unobtrusive and understated...classic, elegant and discreet...this watch fulfils my requirements. The knurled turban like winding crown is a joy and I really liked the patek insignia clasp. Hope you like the amateur pictures...and of course you HAVE to start the new year with NEW SHOES!!

Let me know if they're very comfortable. I am on my feet a lot of the day, walking between different ends of the room; so comfort is of great importance. At the end of the day I'm quite tired in my Ferragamo lace-ups. Let me know if you fare differently in your John Lobbs.

And yes, I do decree that you need a new watch strap to go with the shoes. Brown watch strap, brown belt, brown shoes.

The shoes were an indulgence after a recent trip to HongKong...yes will let you know if they are really comfortable....my usual working gear is the 5140G and black shoes....but you are right, another brown JL will not hurt!!    sh

I don't own a pair of John Lobbs as of yet. I do hope to someday soon.
