Why are you happier with white gold than with stainless steel?
Obviously you do not know that most of the vintage SS Pateks are much rarer and worth much more than any gold models of the same reference -
except the recent SS pieces which are mostly built in SS like the Nautilus or similar.

Happy for a couple of reasons:
1. It cleared up a lot of confusion as I was busy trying to hunt down stainless steel models when I should have been hunting down white gold
2. Happy also because I have a personal preference for white gold
I doubt that this watch would be deemed "vintage". It was likely made either in the late 1970s, or possibly early 1980s. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I was under the impression that in haute horlogerie a watch really needed to be built during the 1930s-1970.
I have used the term "vintage" a bit to widely...
I wanted to understand it opposed to recent offered SS watches which are so much "en vogue " at the time.
