Here is one of my attempts, but yours are much better. Any tips how to improve? I would love to know, what equipment you use.

As with many Pateks, it is difficult to capture the true beauty of the dial.  Interestingly the blue is not the same as the 5960P.  The blue is darker and perhaps less bright.  The pics in bright light tend to be a truer representation of the color of the dial.  Legibility is perhaps not as good as G or J in low light, but excellent in bright light.  Also, this is the only platinum piece I am aware of that has the embedded diamond at 12 O Clock instead of 6.  The pushers are in the way at 6 and still very discrete.  The result is truly spectacular to my eye.

 

 

Should I add that it is my favourite 5140?

I hold and wear one of the first 5140P early this year. Its dial was too blue for my taste - it almost looked like fashion jewelry. So I passed it up. However, last month, I saw another 5140P in the metal. This time the dial was darker blue and it looked more distinguished and less flashy. I loved it. Now I am considering it. The only problem is that I also love my 5140G, which is my dailywear. I wish it was ok to wear one watch on each wrist and dont look like an idiot. Cheers. Jim

Yes, it is the slimmest Patek and an auto:

your 5119 comes with only 6,35 mm, the auto version 5120 with 6.45 mm and the Ellipse with just 5.65 mm.

If some think of the 5196 now: nearly 8 mm.

NOTE: Dial is very rare and not the 'normal' dial you see on 3820R as it is  a light beige and has less stylized Arabics.
