... you should not go over 37 mm.
Luckily there are some quite nice Pateks to choose from:
- the 5119: gorgeous bezel, timeless roman numerals and in RG one of my favourites.
-the 6000 RG if it should be something quirky, something from the 30ies.
-or the Ellipse in RG: a groovy unisex watch, but best looking with a blue dial in YG.
That is the classicism department of Patek.
In the big watches department there is only one watch for me to advise you: the 5146 in RG.
The rest is, unfortunately, too big to be discreet.
Let us know what you went for.

I think It would look better than a Nautilus or Aquanaut (since you asked for sporty)
Read your post with great interest. I don't normally venture onto this forum, as I will likely never be able to afford a Patek Philippe in this lifetime. However, that doesn't stop me from admiring. My grail watch is this Godolo. A couple of months ago, while having drinks at my favourite patio, I actually saw a lady wearing this very model. I had never seen one in the wild, although I did try one on at the local AD. My eyes nearly popped out of my head when I saw this on the lady's wrist. It looked magnificent, to say the least:

Perhaps this is not your style, but it is a very suitable size for anyone. It is white gold, with a "rose" dial, as I believe it states on the website. In fact, the dial is more of a tobacco shade.
Just another suggestion for you. Will be very interested to see what you eventually end up with.
Cheers
Carl

The Patek 5085 ss is no longer in production but I will tell you, I get lots of compliments from women. On a couple occasions, they have put it on their wrist and I was amazed how good it looked. However, I am glad my wife has her eyes on other things because I would hate to lose this watch.
