4 years with the the Patek 5070G.
All is in the title. It took me quite a long time to find and buy my 5070.
It was quite a surprise, as I was in the list for a P, but after 2 years of wait, I understood that I will not get it.
Before the P, I always lurked on the G. The epitome of a cool chronograph, not the finest, in my opinion, since the Datograph does better in terms of finish, and the Duometre is more original, but in terms of coolness, the 5070G ( for once, I would say the the J is a great alternative with its black dial ) is really on the top.
Elegant, discrete despite its big case, it has a superb presence on the wrist.
I must say that I am quite happy with it, and very happy to celebrate its 4th anniversary in my collection.

Luckily I'm sitting, otherwise I would have fallen fainted in front of such beauty!
More years pass and the more I appreciate this model: is perhaps the habit of seeing him or my taste evolves, or maybe knowing that it belongs to another period is forgiven some heaviness in the design of the case...
Hard to choose among these superb watches. Get them all is the best compromise...

As a great lover of watchmaking I know that there is something of our heart in every watch we have: at least those that we do not resell, but this is another matter.

Nice pictures of very nice watches......
These are very special and beautiful watches, indeed icons. It is surprising what the design of a case and bezel in combination with a dial can do to a watch. It can make it look bigger or smaller.
I believe that the PP5070G is about 42mm so the same size as the Duometre but the Duometre looks very big next to the 5070. In contrast the 39mm of the Datograph doesn't make the Dato look small next to the 5070, they look almost the same size although the black dial of the Dato should make the latest look much smaller.

And... The movement of the 5070.
It is certainly a matter of taste, but for me, the 5070 is much more appealing.

The 5070 in white gold has a super readability. A very elegant and gorgeous watch. For me, much more attempting than the current model.
Have you noticed that the top of chronograph hand has been very nicely bended just like those in the 5004. The hand on the current model is just "normal straight".

Well, some Vintage Patek Chronos are even nicer...
But the 5070 and its movement is certainly my favourite modern Patek Chrono, indeed.
