Last Thursday I had the immense pleasure to pick up my new Patek Philippe 5712/1A-001 at my local Patek Philippe Boutique. What a wonderful day!
I'm happy
and proud to present some quick and dirty pics I took the same day. Enjoy these
pictures of the virgin watch (I already crashed into a door latch in the
meantime and the bezel is unfortunately no longer flawless and shiny....).
All pictures are taken with my 8 year old Canon PowerShot A610 with amazing 5 (!) mega pixels.

Enjoy it a bot, before polishing the bezel!
Best,
Nicolas
The first scratch is always hard to accept but the enjoyment wearing this beautiful timepiece is for sure not reduced! This is the "price" we all have to pay if our watches are no safe queens. And at least it gives some patina and a personal history.
I hate it, but all of our watches will have scratches...that's lifeThis is such a great watch. Suits any occasion.
I still find the 5712 the most attractive Nautilus, even after looking at all the other more recent Nautilus versions. I like how slim resp. flat the case is and this gives it an extra elegance.
Enjoy it and post more pics.
Stefan T. , probably not far from away you.

The 5712 is a wonderful watch and I think you made the right decision. It´s simply great design and elegance.
in 2011 I was first interested in the 5711 but my dealer could only show me a 5712. Generally, this model has everything I dislike on watches: moon-phase, power reserve indicator, no date window and a lot of mess on the dial. But I somehow fell in love with it immediately and bought it as my very first PP.
I wish you a lot of fun with this watch!
