Because I made an ugly deep scratch on the bezel

and only Geneva has the material to make a platinum recharge by laser

wear as much as you want

I guess, because the factory can repair the platinum bezel without polishing it down. That is good to know on the P pieces as they scratch so easily yet they should be worn regularly.

That , I perfectly understand. Thanks for the answer. [nt]

Mine says hello and warm greetings from Moscow.

It is easy to see that you like it a lot and it is easy ...

 By: small-luxury-world : November 10th, 2014-01:02
to see what you will missing and why. Only, the reason why it needs a long trip to the SPA makes me curious.

Anything else? Yes, I like that watch a lot smile

Oliver

To treat the bezel by laser

Patek ask around 4 months and believe me, Oliver, it was a hard negotiation
But the result is stunning.

I think it was you ...

Where's the diamond on the 6 o'clock base of bezel?

 By: Patekfinity : November 13th, 2014-20:16
I thought the 5711P is different from the regular 5711 with a small diamond on the bezel at the 6 o'clock position??  Are you sure you are taking pictures of the ACTUAL 5711P??

Sorry....ignore my last post

 By: Patekfinity : November 13th, 2014-20:25
sorry....I realize the small diamond cannot be seen from those images and yes, they are truly magnificent pictures you took...especially the one underwater!

Thanks!

For your pleasure

Wow...again another magnificent pic

 By: Patekfinity : November 15th, 2014-21:01
Thank you for the images...very inspiring...  Where do you live to be able to take such awe inspiring pictures?!  BTW, I see a slight scratch line on the pic you took that shows the diamond between the 5-6 o'clock markers on the bezel.  Is that the scratch you are referring to?

Yes and deeper than pic show, unfortunately

 By: ch9698 : November 15th, 2014-23:29
but I saw the result of the laser work from Patek already on a 5131J case, so I'm confident

I want to dive deep in this blue ocean...

... and never resurface again. Honestly, a great candidate for an 'exit-watch' (if such ever exists for us ;-))!

Cheers and be sure it will return even more desirable!

Before and After?

 By: descartes1 : November 14th, 2014-16:44
@Ch9698-- Do you have a before and after showing the damage to the bezel? I think I may see a trace between 11-12, but I'm wondering the kind of damage and the incredible work Patek's do in such cases.

No, the scratch is between 5 and 6 on the polish part of the bezel

 By: ch9698 : November 14th, 2014-21:20

Well they made it disappear [nt]
