This Roger Dubuis Sympathie Minute Repeater in platinum is a very rare and impressive timepiece.
The guilloché dial is stunning, but I find the subdial at 3 o'clock a bit empty, personally.
The shape of the Sympathiecase is gorgeous.
But I'm notfond of the shape of the bridges of the caliber RD 26 and I hate the laser-engraved sapphire.
The caliber is chronometer certified, though, and it bears the Geneva Seal.
Side by side with a rose gold Sympathie Chronograph.
And with a Daniel Roth Perpetual Calendar.

What do you think about this Minute Repeater?
Of course, we would need to be able to listen to it: this is why I am adding below a video review by Tim Mosso of a white gold Perpetual Calendar Minute Repeater.
The sound doesn't look great. The governor is noisy, the sound too low, and not too rich, but hard to judge from just a video and we cannot generalize...
The case shape is truly incredible, as is the movement, dial, etc. Imho Roger easily showed his ability to equal, or surpass the typical brands back then.

Both are historically significant, showcasing how talented watchmakers can walk away from corporate big box store brands and make a go of it on their own. Horology needs this, or else lay stagnant as brands do what they're doing with recent yawners while raising prices..... you know.
That really is a stunning looking Roger Dubuis Sympathie Minute Repeater in platinum.

I agree the dial is indeed stunning but that sub dial at 3 needs to go IMHO and I must confess whilst I love these Roger Dubuis Sympathie watches I care not for the minute repeater complication, but each of us to our own taste is fine.
