The Audubon Society was having a Raptor Watch at State Line Lookout in New Jersey. Where I was there were three Turkey Vultures flying very close to me. When I looked over the edge of the cliff and down at the Hudson River got this shot. I think my shot of the year,

I understand you have been using a Canon Rebel T6 with 18-55mm and 50-250mm... impressive results & DOF with a [max] 400mm at 35mm equivalent

The f/9 gave you great DOF...

This is a real dream shot.
It wasn’t just a matter of being in the right place at the right time.
It was also a matter of (always) subconsciously being alert for the “photo moments” and Letse not forget, having a camera with you to capture that one moment.
I am deeply impressed
We live in Garrison near Cold Spring..
Have a giant tree on our property and occasionally see 12 or so roosting on it.
