Random series
In no particular order, mostly shot in central Tokyo. Overcast weather proved tricky as you can see from the washed out skies. Having recently been spoiled by the zoom lens I had to get used to zooming with my legs again. I like the weight of the xf27 but my version doesnt have an aperture ring which was a bit frustrating today and I would prefer a slightly wider lens at times.
Made for each other. Blue hair, blue sweater and you probably can't tell but blue socks. I like to think they met in the blue convenience store across the street.

A very original cafe sign adorned with real sunglasses and inviting smokers to smoke as much as they want inside. You can see my reflection in the sunglasses if you look carefully.

A rare sight in Tokyo, a catholic church and not any church but one of the oldest. St Francis Xavier Church is 152 years old as a parish (founded in 1874) and the current building is 98 years old (completed in 1928). Sadly another washed out sky.

Brings me back to my (one) visit to Tokyo
It was amazing to me how much peace and quiet there was to enjoy in such a sprawlingly gigantic city.

Among so many excellent shots, my favorites are the train passing over the river and surrounding buildings, and of course the izakaya window shot - the orange glow through the wonderful traditional window frames is irresistible

Those windows caught my eye as a staff was walking by inside and the shadow looked great. I waited for a brief moment but sadly there was nobody to be seen and the final shot was therefore a bit different than intended but not too bad.

Tokyo is definitely a city you can find good perspective anywhere for some superb photos.
