...why aren't manufacturers making simple, beautiful, classics like this anymore? It seems like they are spending their time making the dials unreadable and finding fancy materials that nobody cares about.
I agree with you but do also appreciate the more modern technologically advanced and creatively artistic models as well. It is fine to be eclectic in one's tastes.

...if that makes sense. Only the independents seem to really care anymore. But the older I get the more jaded I become. At least I still care. Someday I won't.
