And here the article goes: "Each new and necessarily limited-edition Vacheron Constantin model identified as belonging to the Collection Excellence Platine features a solid platinum dial discreetly bearing the inscription “PT950”, along with platinum hands, case and crown, and is housed within a grey lacquered ashwood presentation box."

In here it does mention that not only the crown is in Pt, but even the hands, for this pocket watch although I know for sure that on my PC CEP the hands are 18k white gold baton shape hands, as written in the Certificate of Origin Booklet that came with it.
And since this pocket watch was launched 3 years AFTER the PC CEP came out, I wonder if these changes were only implemented for later CEP watches, and not from the very birth of the collection.
Could anyone else chime in on this?

case, hands, dial plate, hour markers, dimples / minute marker, logo, crown, even strap stitching. Not sure about movement parts though.

Although as per my post to Smironov above, it seems that the later generations of CEP models has more and more parts crafted out of Pt950 when compared to the earlier models, of which I can confirm that the indexes, (12 of them in my PC CEP), Maltese cross, and the baton hands are all crafted from 18k white gold.
AFAIK no CEP models have any movement parts crafted out of Pt950, although if anyone knows anything about the latest model, such as the Traditionnelle Tourbillon Chronograph, please do share!

I always loved this collection. The tradionelle was the one I desire. Thanks for sharing.
