You all may know by now that I'm a HUGE vintage VC fanto a point where I sometimes wonder if I'm attractedto their modernpieces (the fantastic 250th anniversarypieces set aside)

Well once I list their current production pieces that I really like the list is quite long but I've stuck to 5

Malte Perpetual Calendar Retrograde

Saw it at SIHH 2002 and loved it immediately. Saw it again recently on a wrist and the fire reignited! Perfact proportions, beautiful guillochage and I like the fact that there is no moonphase




Malte Chronograph Excellent Platine

Love the dial and the curvy case; A home run!






Malte Perpetual Calendar Minute Repeater

It can't get anybetter than this




The Overseas rose gold dual time

The mix of chocolate dial and rose gold case is delightful and I've always dreamed of a pimp watch

don't agree AT ALL for the rest of your choice.

I find the Malte collection unelegant and don't like the Overseas.

you the excellence platine chrono and the repeater QP are to die for. AMAZING pieces and well for the OS there is just so much understatement a man can take and sometimes you really wish you had a big gold lingot on your wrist when going to a singles bar

Definitely love the Tribute to Expolers with the map of South China since I'm in Hong Kong. Nice choices need to see the Overseas Dual Time in the metal that combination sounds interesting

Than I can have this for myself!Of course all are really "must have" pieces, like all VC's actually are...

But in my eyes, the true avant garde, which I'm saving for,is this one.

"Tribute to the Great Explorers " and "Malte Skeleton", which represent for me the best of the VC's achievements.

Of course, if the wild dreams are allowed, there are many others I'd like to own ...

that VC has in its current catalog, though that doesn't mean I'm likely to buymany or even any of them (of those that I don't already own). From the simple tothe complicated, I most admire the Patrimony Small Second in RG or YG (I mightbuy one if the change the dial somewhat), the Malte Chronograph in RG (I preferthe contrast of RG on a silver dial to either the WG or Platinum examples, niceas they are), and this, or some variant of it (taken from Revolution Press'sWebsite)-It's time I had a tourbillon!

Vc says that they were testing the black nickel finish and the final result gave them some ideas...

First, although I have what may be considered a "pimp watch", my Dad's old 16528 yellow gold Rolex Daytona on a bracelet, but maybe I could find room for another.  I'm drawn to what Alex referred to as a "pimp watch" the RG ltd. ed. Overseas dual time with chocolate dial.  Its fantastic, and I'm not a huge fan of the new Overseas...but that is one of my favorite production watches.  I saw a picture of a female model wearing it and she looked almost as good as the watch! 


So here is my list:

1. Rose Gold Overseas dual time with chocolate dial....
2. Malte Skeleton,(but I'd love to see it in rose gold).
3. The Tourbillon chosen by Bill, with the black nickel finish...it transforms a very traditional watch into a super cool looking watch thats still a classic.
4. Malte tonneau case dual time in rose gold.
5. Since VC is going to start making custom pieces, I'm kind of going outside the parameters of the original question asked, but since money is no object in the original post, I'd commission a 222 one in SS with a black dial for every day, and I'd commission another 222  in rose gold with a chocolate dial.   The 222 is still my favorite sport watch from VC. 

Anyone seeing a pattern here...hmmm, I definitely like rose gold!
