Hopefully all is well with the watch now.
A short note of apology would’ve been nice and the polite thing to do. But I guess it is asking too much.
My Jaquet Droz was away for close to a year in total. It came back but a new unrelated issue had cropped up after the repairs to the initial problem.
I am happy to say that the gentleman in charge of customer service personally called me several times to apologise and update me on the progress of the repairs. The issue was resolved satisfactorily.
Quite extraordinary and I was most pleased with this personal touch.
